Back in the early eighties I had a red seat on my white with red stripes 4lo , and thought it looked good, so got a red cover as I have a spare standard seat for my hybrid BUT I think its too red too bright? Its not fitted and Only laying on top of the seat to get the idea in the photos Am I right Mart

I think it would look better as the darkest of the three red stripes. But a dark grey alcantara would be even better.

Don't do it! A black seat looks perfect.

thanks for your thoughts , the one i had years ago was darker im sure , my mission this week is to find the 3 or 4 photos i have of the bike i had when a teenager , but what i do remember was that they was taken on my mothers Kodak disc camera , the eighties was so right yet often so wrong mart

I think it could work quite well. If you look at convertible sports cars, silver / grey with a red roof is quite common.
Not too bright and it'll work fine.

Middle stripe colour for me
Just remember red dulls down with engrained grime and UV fade
I'd be tempted to fit the bright one as give it a years use and it will have toned down

I don't know why you ask. The right colour is the one you want it to be. When it comes right down to it, you never see the seat when you're riding it. and that is what a bike is all about. Cheers Dave

Don't normally like red seats but I think this time it goes well with the bike

How about a matching grey seat with red piping? You get the red colour on the seat, but it's not overpowering. Not sure I'd want the seat to be the thing that everyone looks at first/most.

Hi, I think it looks a little too sharp, but that's just my opinion. Cheers, Smoke
