I'd be finding an old LC stand and someone who can weld. Lots of stands out there but no good if it doesn't fit the frame mount, or the spring doesn't line up

The metmachex ones are angled just sold mine but they aren’t cheap.

Not sure you want it hooked up above the gear lever?
I tried fitting one of the dog leg sort to my LC a while back but it stuck out like an aeroplane wing! If you are going to buy something off eBay I would ask for measurements or rather dimensions before buying unless you are buying something to modify?

Here is a pic with lc side stand vs fzr600 3he sidestand. Unfortunately I cant let either of them go because one will go on the fzr but just a comparison Lc stand 2020-09-07_06-59-10 by Neil Cleland, on Flickr FZR600 3he stand 2020-09-07_06-58-53 by Neil Cleland, on Flickr stand down 2020-09-07_06-58-40 by Neil Cleland, on Flickr Unfortunately i have no electric in my garage and the re chargeable light went flat when i got the lc stand off so i couldnt test fit the fzr properly. The spring mount is slightly further away than the lc version but only a little and will still work with it. It needs a little manipulating to get the bolt lined up but as I said it was dark. Will have another go at the weekend. Cant say what it will be like with exhausts fitted as my engine is out at the moment but the stand looks to sit in a similar place but is thinner.

I'm running some R1 rearsets on the hybrid i'm building, as it stands now the end of the stand is about level with the gear lever and about 2" away so i'm going to clought it changing gear, thniking if i can get higher out of the way, that would be best option, i cant shorten it as its only just long enough as it is.... I'm probably best to cut, remake and weld up my existing stand.... Thinking something along the lines of the one that was on Dusty's 430 he's just sold

Thanks Andy, it does look bit short the EXUP stand, especially as my build is sitting bit higher than standard...

I have NK rearsets I fitted a metmachex stand because of that clearance problem. I didn’t like it so I have replaced mine with a triumph side stand cheap as chips and does the job really well.

I used a t595 one you need to drill out the side stand bracket on the frame as the bolt is bigger fit the spring to the front but it’s generally easy enough to do.

Thanks, I'll have a look and see if it would work, another thought I've had is grinding the top frame stop so my stand with go higher up, need to have a think....

It’s the shape and the length of the std stand that’s the problem with rearsets that’s why most of us fit aftermaths or different ones not sure there is any Easy real way round it.

OK, probably no good for me then, I'll go for either plan A, cut up my stand or plan B, modify the stand frame mount to get it folding higher up

Personally I’d go triumph or R1 or bmw s1000r stand the triumph is alloy so looks trick it’s not that hard to fit requires a little amount of fabrication.

Someone will be up your neck of the woods who has done this or similar. All you need from memory is a 10mm drill bit, and a tap to fit a spring Retainer the stand (triumph is slightly different shape and shorter so fits nicely) I’ve also made it so it sit slightly different. Or spend £120 plus at NK racing for one of his but if you’ve changed the chassis (hybrid) it may not work.

Is this for LC frame?
Will check at the weekend but I know I had an old chromed LC stand. Will let you know if it is any good to you?

Hi Mark, I found the Triumph stand, 275mm from centre mounting hole to flat of foot, 12mm bolt hole (same as valve, LC is 10mm), spring mount on inside same as valve. Free to a good home mate? Andy.
