Great idea me thinks, lets clean the white plastic clock internals that hold the bulbs and dials on my 31K. I know, lets spray the back of them with electrical cleaner that will work a treat, brilliant. And it did, it took all the crud that had built up over the years right away, result. but it didn't stop there, oh no it kept right on going and removed the numbers and the paint from the front of the dials as well. Oh how l laughed, absolutely buggered them and l am not talking kph clocks nope full on UK mph!!!! So my question is, have any of you applied repo clock decals? are they any good and are they hard to apply? Do you know l am still laughing just at the thought of how clever l am.

Oh Jesus, that will feck them lol
Even water takes the black off once they have aged
I've used clock face decals before from Simon Wells. Needles come off same as lc. Remember and Mark them for position before removing so you know where to put them back on
Wipe the faces with meths and they will go back to clear plastic
I tend to mask up the centre of the face first and just waft the rear of the faces will yellow spray paint to make the faces backlight the correct tone
Know your pain, remember the first time I thought I'd just wipe the dirt off the face with some soapy water

Thanks for the tip about yellow paint midlife, I am working on the basis they are pretty much useless at the mo so l may as well have a bash with decals. I couldn't believe it when I turned them over and saw the damage absolutely gutted.
