Attempted this repair a couple of weeks ago on an F2 but on installing sight glass it pushed rubber o ring from groove causing brake fluid to leak! Bought 3 on Ebay for £5.64 in case any other install probs. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-Set-18mm-Master-Brake-Cylinder-Reservoir-Sight-Glass-Motorcycle-Dirt-Fast-UK/303378226663?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2Took a couple of weeks to arrive. I used red rubber grease on o ring at first attempt but on second attempt assembled dry. Used a G clamp but sight glass kept going in at an angle not square to hole. This seamed to help because sight glass then gripped o ring keeping it in groove. Just kept pressure on sight glass and it popped into place with o ring in groove. Result. Have filled master cylinder with brake fluid and no sign of a leak so far.

I did. Works fine. From memory the hardest part was removing the old one? Jon I’ve always got the old ones out easily by using a small flat blade inside and turning it.

Last one I did was yellow and cracked. It just broke away and left the outer metal ring to get out.

Find a suitable socket and press it in in a vice.

Oh really. I only hesitate as I read somewhere that the LC/LC2 rectangular ones were smaller and the later YPVS ones are bigger but can’t remember where I read that
