As the title says, whats the difference? I'm about to buy a chain for my Hybrid and as recommended was going to get O ring but saw the X ring one, also slightly worried about width as seem to remember reading something about the widths of chains. Is the X ring narrower I wonder.
One other quick question, does anybody know where I can get brake hoses made to measure.
Thanks.
Phil

Not sure what the difference is between x and o as both have rubber rings As for clearance I think itβs more to do with lcs than pvs as the rear swinger is narrower I run an oring chain with no problems I second venhill for custom brake lines www.venhill.co.uk/line/build/Matt

an O ring is just that an O ring and X ring is an O ring but with a groove round both sides to hold more grease

None of it actually matters unless your doing thousands of miles
Heavy duty is just as good for our low mileage bikes

Thanks Matt, and yes you're probably right, I'd be surprised if I do more than a few hundred miles a year! But I still think O ring is better.

X ring has less friction then oring. I noticed the chain doesnt warm up.
