Just got my crank back from Grampians freshly rebuilt. Quick question, are the crank seals they supply good, or should I go for genuine Yam? Cheers Dave

I've never used their seals so cannot comment
Usually when they call me and give me the price, I say I don't need seals and they knock £18 off.
One time they called and the price was £320 as the centre pin was the only usable bit 😱
I said I can buy a new crank for that. I don't need seals - £18
Then asked what was wrong with the lab seal - absolutely nothing, I just change them anyway. £20 off the bill for that 😁
Unless I see the seals coming out a Yamaha bag I ain't using them
Steve

The large ones look genuine ARS type however the smaller ones are SFK I think or similar, I’m with Steve if don’t come out of a Yamaha bag it ain’t going in my bike.

I've not used them, but I've had a good look at them and they have the teflon coating on the lips of the seals and look good, much better than shambits ones anyway
I am half tempted to try a set (got a good few here - approx 50 pairs !) and see how they fair, all my customers ask for Yamaha seals, but I am going to try a set in one of my test engines I think to see how they go

One would hope that a reputable company would not compromise there work by supplying inferior components..
So far so good for the one's i got done from them...

I have used a few and they were ARS seals, so same supplier as OEM Yamaha. Not had any issue with them.

agree with Paul, the last set I checked the clutch side said ARS, the stator side was something else which escapes me at the moment, I'll check my stash when I get 5 mins
