Lovely neat numbers but I know mine are stamped on ‘ribs’ I wouldn’t know but if your capable of filing the ribs off so nicely then your probably OK stamping numbers back on. Just what I can see

Only one reason the ribs are missing, and its not aesthetics.

So far no one has seen fit to mill the ribs back in after removing the original (stolen) numbers, before putting on rebirth ones. These parts were cheap and I guess no one owned a mill as they were too expensive, but these days mills that will take an engine case are not so expensive so it will come I guess. Luckily the Yamaha font isnt exactly the same as the punches you see on ebay, but if you had a CNC mill you could cut them like OEM I guess :/
