Could be a sole trader....pop the details in here and that will confirm if he is a PLC ...if you cant find him, he's most likely a sole trader and not registered. www.gov.uk/get-information-about-a-comp

yep its a PLC. data.companieshouse.gov.uk/doc/company/01859293So, confirms my suspicions. "Dodgy...." I would advise people to avoid them, especially those buying from overseas. They list items as 'vat incl' and the basket and payment says it includes vat but they will not refund or remove it from sales for overseas buyers. In fact they say they are not vat registered even tho the website lists their vat reg number etc. They ignored my emails for days (so they could be sure they had sent my order and not have to refund I reckon) and then finally came back with some confused message including an excuse that that it wasnt their fault as the website is rented. er... ok... If youre thinking this is just a case of some overseas w**ker whining about paying twice for taxes and it doesnt affect you, have a look at the reviews. Since looking them up Ive found plenty of other reasons to avoid the company for poor supply of dodgy parts etc. Google and Facebook reviews are a good place to start. Im sad to say it as I know a few guys here buy from them, bit I urge anyone considering buying from them to check the reviews if they are about to part with their money.

Surely there is some sort of fraudulent act being committed if they are being deliberately misleading regards VAT ? I've bought from them in the distant past with no issues at all, but since Norbo and Mutts and Madbiker all stock the shocks I've needed in recent years, all my business goes to those guys now. My last YSS from Mutts was the cheapest price I could find anywhere. Dusty

I'd say they are either ignorant or can't be arsed doing the paperwork
They would have to claim back the vat they had paid on it and do a form for overseas sales

Haven't posted for yonks here but I can't contain myself, Brooks Barn !!!!!!!!!!!!!! kin hell I hate them, it is mainly because of the thousands of items they list that come up on a search due to the "fits Yamaha 350" or whatever the bike is that you are searching, I also had some bad service but cannot remember the details, I now refuse to buy anything from them and instead will just look for a different supplier

Seems quite a few people have had issues with them as other people have contacted me about them since i posted. As usual if you order something and its in stock and it gets sent fast and its ok then you never had a problem, but if you do have an issue then these guys fall down on service, a lot.
For me it was about the VAT issue, and that will hold true for other overseas buyers, but seems the fact the goods turned up and they were right that in many ways I got the best service I could expect from them, many come unstuck at that point.
My view now is that I will advise anyone who asks to avoid them, dont feed them and maybe they will just go away.
