I got rid of mine back in the day and fitted Allspeeds
Top end was good but revved to the moon
Lost bottom end and had a massive stutter at 5.5k that it wouldn't pull through
Mine was upjetted by 10 on the main
Some will say no need to upset but a good few have regretted that after melting pistons on long high speed runs

Oh, and I think they hang too low on a ypvs
Its like they are just lc pipes they fitted a longer hanger bracket to

Unless they are the early small cans they look crap unless you re-fabricate them ,they are lower and less swept than the standard pipes.

I had an F2 25 years ago that had standard carbs and jets (from memory) that I fitted a brand new pair of Microns to. Remember driving to Stan Stevens in a MK1 fiesta, looking at them hanging on his shop wall then buying them. Did loads of miles on that. Just finished another and got exactly the same Microns on it. however this one has 31k carbs on (as I really like them) so probably richer than the PJ ones? They do hang low, but I love the deep muffled sound. Some pipes I find too loud. Here’s a pic: Jon

I had microns, which i sold to jon They do sit lower at the rear. I bought a set of TSA pipes. They make a nicer noise and a bit better performance

Hmm... Early ..Codnor Microns.. Bean can ones.. were Good.. Surprising power, No Rejettings, Zero Stutter. BUT those were of internal stinger design. Arguably a higher perf setup than external stingers.... when done well. Really doesn't look like the later versions, with the big Cans, bothered to redesign the chambers after pulling out the internal stingers. Likely Too much work (New dies) and likely the assumption that the proles wouldn't notice (and few did). AS for fit: ALL microns fit poorly IMO. Pick a reason that pleases. Took a removal redesign and relocation of the hangers on MY Condor Microns to get then to Fit My lc. ..Now the header sliders actually move under rpm/loads :-) Just like Real expansion chambers, the cans fit tightly and contact/touch Nothing on the bike. Can't fit a centre stand tho :-) Nothings perfect.

I thought an internal stinger was at optimum half way down the reverse cone, but these must be at least 10” long from memory? Jon

Hi I have a lc 250 with microns, should they be solid because I have a small amount of movement , but I don't won't to do them too tight and thread the bolts, sorry I don't have what is needed to add photo on here, thanks.

In my experience they wobble quite a bit
Had them back in the day and they were so slack they spewed black crap at the headers as they wobbled
About 8 years ago I was building a hybrid and found a NOS set
Fitted them and again very wobbly so removed them without even starting the bike and sold them on
