It's a grey area
A ypvs or lc as standard is 347cc
If you bore it 2mm over it's 369cc
Would you tell the insurance that or do you just think of your 465cc as being rebored to clear a gouge and match all the cylinders 🤔

If you are going to ride it on the road I'd say that it's best to come clean because worse case scenario, if you are involved in a fatal accident and they end up finding out, you'd be looking at a manslaughter charge.

Tell them I would say as you have just put this on a world wide fourm ,,
I am on lots of ford Rs forums and a lot of the big main insurance company’s go on there for a good discount for fourm members ,,
Only have to say one thing and say another to them then a void insurance,,
It rarely cost much more if any,
I have it with my focus Rs that’s big power , and is cheaper than standard with all the mods for some reason

You can do insurance 1 or 2 ways, you either tell them as little as possible about you & whatever it is you're insuring to get on the insurance database at the cheapest possible price or declare everything up front and pay a premium that'll actually cover you not matter what happens. Tbh, i'm more than happy for all of the insurance premiums I shell out for each year for life, home, travel, breakdown, cars/bikes etc. etc. to be a total waste of money as it means life been stress & accident free. These days if you don't tell an insurance company everything upfront then you may as well not bother because there's a very good chance in the event of a claim you'll get sweet FA from them and then be refused insurance in the future. As much as we all hate paying it the consequences of not having or being able to have insurance cover for certain things can range between inconvenient expensive to totally life changing. FYI, no I don't work for an insurance company (or in fact at all these days which is sweet ) I just learnt the hard way

Declare everything. A friend of a friend had two Audi's stolen off his drive a few years back. He genuinely put a tick in a wrong box on the form when he took out his insurance on his Q5. They paid out for his wife's A1, but refused on his Q5 due to his error. He still had 3 years to pay for the car - cost him 20k. Never take a chance with insurance firms - they will wriggle out at the slightest provocation Dusty Ps. He even went to the Insurance Ombudsman, but he got nowhere with that.

Anyway the insurance company can get out of paying they will. My car has been modified, how, by fitting a towbar . If not declared they will just say NO to any claim, unless its stolen. Maybe try a broker?

I have a multi bike policy with 4 bikes, with full list of all modifications together with photos, agreed value, especailly of my TZR535. As stated above, I always tell the Insurance company all modifications, as they will always try to get out of paying if they can. I am with R H Specialist Insurance www.rhspecialistinsurance.co.uk/They even cover my mate who comes from Australia to the TT races each year, so he can ride one of my bikes. Best regards Johnny C.

When I first built it, I even I when to Carol Nash offices as I was very concerned that they knew about all modifications so that it was fully covered. I offered to get it Independently inspected, but they stated it wasn’t necessary. They just wanted full list of all modifications, all receipts for agreed valuation, and photos of the bikes, and details of all security.
A local MOT station or a reputable motor engineers should be able to give you an inspection report.
Have now changed to RH Specialist as Carol Nash just kept bumping up the premium each year.

I think you only need a valuation if there is no agreed value
I'm with Footman James and you pay a small premium for agreed value
That way there is no arguing with a settlement as your premium is based on that value
Also do the option of getting the full value and keep the bike. Think that about a tenner 😃
As for who would value would someone on the RG forum or owners group sort that
