I seem to remember seeing something on here about changing speedo on lc to one from another bike. My question is will a xs250 speedo fit into the lc cases ? Or will i have to swap over the internals. Thanks in advance.👍

The LC white inner parts have tabs to locate them in the cases, i doubt many other clocks have those.

You have to open the cases and swap. Not too difficult, but patience is needed.

There’s a few that work. I used an XS850 on my last set. The internals were identical. Swapped the face and needle. Good to go.

Regarding the tabs/cases, now that 3D printers are here, I wonder if they could be made??

I think the clock without the tabs does fit.
As long as the metal posts on the rear of the case are the same length it will be sandwiched between the upper and lower case
Ypvs N clocks are not held in by tabs

There is no actual join between the cases tho Steve. The clocks have tabs to screw them to the top, the plate sits on the captive bolts and the bottom case is held onto the plate with nuts on those same bolts. If you dont have the tabs to connect the top case to the clocks it wont be held by anything.
When i fitted my GPS speedo i put it in an old clock case so that it sandwiched the clock to the top case. you could do something like that. Tho to be honest glueing or plastic welding some tabs to other clocks isnt rocket science. Ive done them before on a set of clocks with broken off tabs.

Ah, I see, forgot that bit
You would need to make tabs then

My tabs were broken and I made some out of steel. Seems to hold the clocks ok. Once assembled they can’t be seen of course.
