what is being used to replace the 31k old rear shock , new but fordable ? i know it was the f2 shock but i think no longer available ? ta

norbo, yambits, brooksbarn, ebay... google is your friend when buying stuff.

They are heavier bikes. Thumbs up for Yss from me too. 2 year guarantee, rebuildable and adjustable, for length too, and right for your bike. Why fit a used shock for a different set up when a YSS will bolt straight on and work perfectly ? Last one I bought was £220 new. Dusty

I fit one of these yss shocks, and they are brilliant. unless your a racer, you wont need or notice anything better than a yss.

Got a YSS on my 31k but its only gone round the block since built up so can't really comment My F1 has a R6 shock but thats still in bits ...

Ignoring the fact that the yss can be rebuilt how do they compare performance wise to a new f2 shock?

fit that, you have it and its a fine quality unit. not as adjustable as other but still an ok unit. Else sell it to a restorer and use the money to buy a yss.
