Yes but about 40 horse and different exhaust fitting
Its a pity I'd put those cylinders in the same camp as Indian tanks

Cheers, that rules them out That's what I always thought but I know a Dutchman who is always testing the fake and cheap parts. He's had good results using Chinese barrels with Vertex pistons. The barrels are radically ported and made 73 pk. One big end failed after 5000 km but the good cylinder was still in good condition.

we've had a few of these cylinders come in to be tidied up as the casting quality was variable, but you could make them good. One set had to be rebored and the liner was soft. Im not sure if that was just a bad set or if the liners are of variable quality as well.

I think that's the big unknown with the copy gear, quality control.
I've seen him use lots of different cheap carbs but has ended up with genuine Keihin or Mikuni's for example.

A guy on the RDRZ500 forum got some, as Martin says, they were soft when rebored and Ive read some of the liners were flaky as well.
you get what you pay for...

Yes unfortunately you can’t just go about lining cylinders with the old adage ‘any old iron’.
Terry Shepherd designed an aluminium cylinder for lambrettas known as a TS1. It had a nikasil lining. It shared a few design similarities with the YPVS as it used a reed valve assembly the same dimensions as a YPVS but slightly shorter. I have a machined YPVS reed valve in mine actually.
Anyway, I had one heavily tuned using an IT250 piston once. It was bored out and lined with a spheroidal graphite iron liner. This improves the properties such as crack resistant, less likely to flake, good wear resistance etc. suitable for a cylinder.

The aftermarket Banshee cylinders appear to be hit and miss in terms of quality control. Even the better suppliers get the odd bad set, so luck of the draw if you get a good set or not.

Pim has built his engine up again so it will be interesting to see how it fares.

More than fair chance that the liners are of repurposed vintage pipe...Bought for V little. Almost Zero likelyhood these are were Eutectically cast.. as are/were Yama cyls.
Buy Cheap = Buy twice and if truly Dim.. Repeatedly.
