I've been looking at the F2 rear wheel/LC swingarm on my LC.
Can anybody tell me the length of the standard LC rear axle and the size of the gap between the rear swingarm insides please?
I originally opened the old swingarm, but have had a play and machined 5mm off the each F2 spacer. I wondered how much more I need to remove to fit the standard axle.
Ta, Ian.

Hi Inside measurement on a standard Lc swingarm at the wheel spindle is 200mm. Outside measurement is 215mm. I haven't got a wheel spindle to hand to measure that, but roughly 215mm plus the wheel nut ! When I fitted a 31k wheel to an Lc arm in my 400 ages ago, I remember buying a Pv caliper carrier from Mel Lemoto that had been modded for the Lc arm. I seem to remember that it had 11mm milled off it where the spindle passed through. Another option, and a bit more trick, would be a custom carrier. My old 400 has had the old Lemoto modded carrier removed in favour of this custom one with a blue spot caliper; IMG-20191206-WA0004 by dusty miller, on Flickr This bike may be finding it's way back to me, so if it does, I could get a pattern drawn up of the carrier if you wanted it. Hi Dusty
I bought a caliper mount off NK racing that fits a blue spot R1 type caliper. I machined 5mm of the 'bush/spacer' part of it and 5mm off the LH spacer. I couldn't remember whether the F2 rear was 10mm or 20mm wider than the LC! Is that wall to wall carpet in the garage? Ian

Yea, wall to wall carpet in the garage ! Not mine though I've got wall to wall carpet tiles in mine !! I think that I didn't mod the sprocket side spacer on that build - I just bought the ready modded carrier. It was back in 88/89 so I could be wrong. Dusty

Going by your dimensions, I need to lose about 4mm more off each side. Rh is easy, Lh is going to be difficult. May have to lose the oil seal and use an RS type bearing. Could take 8mm off the right and run some the wheel to one side, but the engineer in me says NOOOO! Hopefully someone will come along with the LC spindle sizes as a double check.
