Yes Ian, I have thought about that... although I may decide to keep them yet, they could ideally do with a new pair of end-cans... I started her up again at the weekend and she fired up 3rd kick... to be honest much of the stuff on the list is very minor, the expensive bits are a rear mudguard, round headlamp and some genuine footpegs… and even they aren't too bad, the rest is just a few fasteners and float valves. Had a go at a bit of plastic welding on the side panels which are in pretty good nick really... I will have it all repainted in white/red N2 colours I think.. hopefully a pal of mine will do that for me... all in all I am very happy and looking forward to spring.

A few things under the tree..... courtesy of the one-stop LC shop, thanks Norbo, great service.... Realised after ordering them, that the tank/frame rubbers aren’t even supposed to be on my model.... ah well, i’ll fit them anyway 👀.

Very smart. For an extra £300 only it's a miracle!

Thanks for the comments.... Not quite there yet though, went for a little pre-mot test up the street and back and discovered some problems (first time I’ve ridden it). Bike revs freely on the stand but when under load starts to missfire above 3k ish revs, pulls ok below that, also some strange electrical issues....indicators flashing at varying speeds when riding. I suspect a dodgy battery, will swap over and try again....... Clutch needs adjusting too, its dragging a bit, not enough adjustment at the lever so looks like an oil-out job.... Chassis, brakes, steering and suspension feels great though.... feels really sporty, can’t wait to get out for a proper run now I’ve got a taste of what I’ve been missing.
