Hi guy’s and gal’s
I’m having an issue with 1 carb on my 250 4L1 overflowing. When I rebuilt it a couple of years ago I bought some TourMax needles and seats and they, tbh were cheapish. Just wondering if any of you guys have used these before and had issues like mine. Float heights are correct at 21mm and also did the clear tube check which looked fine. Just wondering if the seat might be letting by.
Cheers in advance. 🤙

Mikuni bits are a lot dearer but you pay for what you get. See if there's crud getting past the filter and causing the leak. I have replaced valves and seats with cheapos.. luckily they worked. And in the past I have "re ground" worn valves using a drill and emery paper..not really recommended but when needs must... It worked.
Its weird that not all these float valves are rubber tipped.

Maybe just a sticking float? a good tap on side of carb usually clear it.

Apart from the above possible fixes. Undo the screw on the bottom of the float bowl and then turn the fuel tap on and hopefully wash away any crud. Worked for me in the past.

Tap the side of the float bowl with a handle side of a screwdriver and see if it stops. Many float bowls have screwdriver rash where people have used the screwdriver tip. The valve seat may have cr**p in it. If worn, it can be polished with an ear bud n solvol. (dont laugh).
A new valve and seat may be required, if as you say the float heights are ok.

Cheers guy’s. I had already tried all of the above methods with no luck so it looks like a strip down and physical check.
