Got a friend who could make these, anyone be interested in 1? Trying to gauge interest as it’s a lot of work and he’d need to make at least 5 and take deposits for the billet to make it worth his while, I’d like 1 for the shocker as I’ve had my pump done in anticipation. Not sure on costs yet and hoping Norbo jumps in to buy bulk maybe?

The problem I see is that people already make something similar (although not exactly the same) so cost will be a huge factor in the project. Id be interested in one, but it'd have to be sensible money, read that to mean 'cheaper or much cooler than other options' out there. The oil pump separates us from the the Banshee boys, but also narrows your potential market for bulk selling :/

Funnily enough I have been searching suppliers for one for a couple of weeks now, but I'm really wanting a billet side case with provision for an oil pump but without the water pump housing or water in/out galleries. This from Billet World is the nearest I could find but it means using a dry clutch which has its own problems - it would look great when finished but isn't easy to modify for the engine I'm putting together which means a fair knock to my budget ..

I didnt mean it would stop them buying, just that they have more options to pick from if mixing their own. Its a huge market though but from what ive heard from a supplier of billet parts to that market, most of them are younger guys who favour bolt on solutions they can fit quickly and simply (they like kits) and be back out riding at the weekend. Our market is quite a bit different; smaller and 'slower' and generally more technical. That's a sweeping statement and not everyone is the same of course. The BW cover you pictured looks lovely, very much like a posh TZ unit with oil pump. As an aside, I think you can buy a few aftermarket TZ covers some in alloy, some in Magnesium, but all with a horrible price tag and no oil pump provision of course. Anyway, Russ let us know a rough costing and Im sure you'll see some takers if the price is right

The Billet World cover has fixings for a TZ external water pump not 2t oil pump.

Dean isn’t interested in making these, I want an oil pump but not a standard case with slipper clutch. If not enough interest I’m not sure what to do, might end up on premix

Or not if Russ can get enough people interested. Thats the beauty of CNC'ing billet parts. The first one costs a bomb, the 2nd one is just the price of the material and machine time etc.

What finish will he be aiming for, I don't like that Billet World one.
