Hi there yes you can but you have to be very careful Right, I need some help chaps.
I bought a rev-counter clock last year- mint. It has sat at home until today when I went to fit it. Prior to fitting, I fitted the cable and started the bike up. The clock nearly flew out of my hand After examining the clock, it looks like the drive is jammed. Bit gutted and annoyed that I didn’t check the drive when I first bought it.
So, help with taking the clock apart, do I need to carefully peel back the black face ring to get it apart.
Has anyone done this and with what type of tool not to damage the clock face ring? Or can someone recommended anyone who is a specialist at repairing LC clocks?
Many thanks

Hi there yes you can carefully peel the rear edge just enough to slip it off the front of the clock then once you have sorted it you can replace and it gently i used a small screwdriver to peel it back then used a larger flat blades screw drive and a small hammer to shape it back so you can’t see it

As you said with care this can be done. I’m confident with patience I can split the clock. I’m soaking the drive in some WD40 to see if the drive will release. Fingers crossed 🤞 I’ll keep you updated.
