I assume they lobbed about an inch off the 29L to make the 51L or 1UA versions, but does anyone know for sure?
Also are the 51L and 1UA the same length, I also assume not... hmm... I know the 1UA has a bend in the lever end that the 51L doesnt, thats not desirable for me I guess as what I want is a shorter cable than the LC2 (29L) to fit to my LC with YPVS engine. What did other people use, the 51L or something from an R6 (what year?)?

I used a genuine 51L cable
Lc2 was waaayy long

Cheers Steve, Ive just found a brand new 51L cable in my stash, so thats great to hear.
And to answer my own question; Comparing 29L with 51L, same type of cable but 29L is 60mm longer.

I use the 1ua cable with the bend on my LC 421, fits, looks, works great for me👍

Thanks for that.
I dont think I have a 1UA handy without trawling my F2 builds boxes, so in the meantime if anyone has a 1UA and can compare it to a 51L or 29L then Id be interested to know the length difference. I suspect the 51L and 1UA are the same, but they might not be...

Hi Jon, if it's any help I've just measured a brand new 1ua cable.
Outer sleeve around the bend end to end 1.005mm
inner cable nipple end to nipple end 1.100mm
