Has anyone got any tips on the best way to get the front footrests dismantled and refurbished. Mine are pretty scabby and I am not sure if they can be rechromed, particularly in at the pivot parts John

Hi mate I think you'll need to drill the rivets out to get them apart. Get them cleaned up and then decide on a finish, dependant on the quality of the metal after cleaning. I think Norbo sells the small springs in his shop. They weren't chrome as standard, so you could powdercoat or paint as an alternative. Dusty

Oops, just realised they are Lc2, so I think they were chromed as standard. Chrome powdercoat may be an option if the surfaces are pitted/rough. Maybe cheaper than real chrome too. Dusty

I'd say they were not worth returning
The money it will cost would buy a nice used pair
