Hi all,
Got a problem with oil loss from the overflow pipe which connects on the top of the oil tank.
Must be pressure somewhere as it is pushing the oil out of the overflow and empties the tank ??
Cheers
Mark

Never heard of that one before Mark as there is nothing pumping air into the tank. Bottom hose goes to the pump under negative pressure and assisted by gravity. I will assume there is no pipe from the top breather inside the tank either which might act as a syphon.
Have you had this issue long and have you checked the tank for damage which might allow oil to leak, dripping down onto the pipe making it look as though it is coming from the pipe itself? Post some pics which might help

Which model of bike are we talking about? Is there even an overflow pipe on the 4LO model for example? I've not noticed it if there is.

Cheers Mark I rerouted the overflow pipe on my 31k. I brought it to the LHS and 1” higher. Then you can fill it more without overflow. May be the synth castrol i use is thinner which can give more overflow.
