My Rg is only running on three cylinders ,I have a spark good compression and it passed a leak down test ,the bike starts first kick now but #1 cylinder has no suction in through the carb the plug is bone dry and there is no smell of fuel on it . you can feel the suction on the other carbs anyone any ideas

Suck Bang Blow. This is weird as it has to suck to get compression. If it's not sucking then it can't be blowing otherwise you are not going to get any pressure when compression testing Think of this as a (for) 125s with a 28mm carb. It's not going to be doing much on it's own. Cylinder 1 and 3 are matched as they share the coil I assume you are running with open carbs. The only way this can be happening is if it's sucking from somewhere else but the leak down test says no The things I'd check are. Does fuel get to the #1 carb. Is the float blocked ? Is the link pipe blocked. I Is the little filter clear Is the float height correct Have you got the correct float bowl on (all 4 are different 2 have the choke and 2 don't) Left/Right/Front/Back Are the air vent pipes all connected. Is that the carb with the choke in. Is that working correctly (see float bowls) Could you have inadvertently left a rag in the inlet ? Is the carb spacers (the black thing with the O rings) on the back of the carb on correctly Is the slide opening correctly Also check the PV covers are on the right way round. If they are on wrong the PV chamber wont open/close at the correct time Info on how to check here

Hi Stusco, When I researched doing my 2 stroke leak down test online, I read that, to do it properly, you are supposed to test with a posative pressure AND a negative pressure. I read that some engines may hold a posative pressure, but not hold a vacuum or vice versa. Once my engine passed the pressure test, I pulled a vacuum using my vacuum brake bleeding kit, and all was well. Off the top of my head, I cant remember how much of a vacuum you pull, but like pressure testing you have to watch and not give it too much, it is online somewhere. Good luck with the fault finding. Steven.

What happens with the zeeltronic is when it starts to get weird signals (could have been the misfiring cylinder) it needs a complete reset to clear the errors. This can be by reloading the settings or just losing all power to the unit. The best thing you can do know is save the .zee file, I use a file naming protocol of bike name, year month day hours mins. That way you know which bike the .zee is for and when you created the file. If you make changes and save the file on a different date you get an automatic sort sequence as long as you put all the .zee's in the same folder. Geek alert .....

So this highlights my next problem my laptop won’t let me open zeelprog for the pcdi-rgt it thinks it’s a virus I’ve emailed zeel but no answer yet the bike never ran on three with the zeel fitted it would not start

Is this the downloaded rar file from here www.zeeltronic.com/page/zeelprog.phpOnce dowloaded you need to extract the file using winzip or rar zip extractor pro . That should install the .exe file as long as you say OK to the antivirus software I use firefox as the browser but google chrome works ok as well. I don't touch ie or what ever it's called these days

If it’s windows 10 and your just using windows defender Go into defenders settings and temp disable it while you install or create an exception in defenders settings Any other antivirus will have the same options but they can be complicated to use
