Feckin waste of money
Bought an FZ swing arm from DK a few months ago
(NOT THE ONE I GOT FROM A FORUM MEMBER, DONT WORRY)
Anyway had the pivot width reduced, had it vapour blasted, scotch brited the outer faces and painted the rest silver.
New link arm bushes and seals, end caps re plated
All ready to fit so fitted the link arms, bolt them up and it won't pivot smoothly
Turns out the LH link arm tube the bush goes in is welded in 3mm further forward than the RH
Feckin thing is scrap π€¬
Has been jigged wrong from new as no damage and arm is straight
Β£150 in the bin π

The best way to learn is to make mistakes but it's a sickener when you lose so many beer tokens in the process. My sympathies are with you.

Did you get a FZR400 3EN swinger. They look good on a YPVS and cheaper than getting an RGV.

Did you get a FZR400 3EN swinger. They look good on a YPVS and cheaper than getting an RGV. Yes it's a 3EN Looks lovely, 17mm spindle so suits the xjr rear wheel I'm using and even has paddock stand bobbins There was a small gouge on the left side so I took it down to my friendly welder as he was welding new feet onto a couple of side stands for me as they had worn through. He got the tig out and did it as a freebie there and then so ready for trial fitting before powder coating π Steve
