What's a decent rattle can paint to do my front mudguard Was going satin black but maybe gloss now !

I use Hycote on everything that doesn't need heat protection. If you get stuck pop it in the post and I'll do it for you.

+1 for Hycote. I did an Lc cylinder head in their high temp gloss and it was totally unaffected by petrol - to the point I completely immersed it in clean petrol for 10 minutes and it didn't even affect the shine !! Went on really easily too. Dusty

Yep, Hycote is good stuff. Flat it back with 800 - 1000 grit paper, then lacquer it.
Their acrylic lacquer works well too, although isn't petrol resistant. After the lacquer, lightly flat that back with 1500-2000 paper then polish with cutting compound.
You can get a great finish this way.
