Another money spinner on the way www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-48564995 Dr Jonathan Moore, who chairs a campaign group lobbying to reduce noise along the A32 in the South Downs National Park, said people are "thoroughly fed up" with motorcyclists who drive through villages "hundreds of times a year" at anti-social hours

Makes you laugh ! I live by Heathrow, and was never affected by noise before as I wasn't under the flightpath. Now they are changing the routes, and they take off and bank over my house. I wonder how many bikes would equal the noise of a climbing 747 ? All the campaigning, all the legal challenges, proof of noise laws broken, clean air non existent and outside of recommended parameters etc etc. Dusty

Sometimes the noise from planes is too much. But planes do have a purpose. I use a plane sometimes. While especially HDs and scoobies with open pipes in my town really dont have a purpose. I know my stroker is loud but it has proper damper. I try too avoid to rev in town. (Mostly🤨) So in populated areas i am not against a noise camera.

I live in the countryside and have done for many years near a well used race track sorry road. It has bikes using it all spring summer and autumn generally all the gear no idea types with straight through pipes. When I am outside I can hear them does it wind me up? Not particularly it’s just another noise you get used to, it isn’t constant and is no worse than the loud pipe cars you hear. I am guessing matey boy has moved to the country and is now indignant that scruffy bikers are ruining his peace. What pisses me off with this is we have massive social injustice in this country, food banks to help people survive, I work with lots of schools that have to keep their canteen open during holidays so their kids get fed that give breakfast to pupils because otherwise they won’t have any, families living in and trapped in poverty and now we are looking at spending cash on this shite. As Matt says so it can generate cash. Grips my shite.
