Totally gutted as I put so much time and money into it. Still got a F2 in bits but I love my LC.

What about keeping the 4l0 and selling the f2 in parts only. Breaking rd’s at the moment seams to bring in the money. Not sure how much money you need to raise. Get to keep the lc that way.

That's a shame you have to sell up. Great example you have there.

Stunning. To you it's priceless. But to the buyers out there I'd say £6500 or maybe £7000 if you have the original pipes to go with the bike. Gutted you have to sell it.

My guess is around £6k. Prices are funny, a couple of years or so ago I'd have said £7k+ all day long, I was offered £10k cash in front of me for mine in the same condition (i.e. a brand spanking new nut & bolt restoration), by someone that had watched the restoration being done and knew what went into it, but I didn't sell. Whereas now I'd be expecting £6k. It's probably cheaper to have the ex-wife bumped off

Hi Chris Sorry to hear this mate As already mentioned, would you have enough by selling the Pv instead ? And possibly "selling" the Lc cheap to a family member or trustworthy friend, that would enable you to get it back at a later date - sort of like a loan ? Keeping hold of it may be the little chink of light that we all need sometimes Friends of ours are going through a divorce at the mo, and I know her solicitor wants to know the value of his bike collection. Can you flog your Lc to a dependable mate for say, 2k, so it's out of the equation ? Good luck mate Dusty

as people have said above depending how much you need to get back and how quickly, If it is just a settlement issue as dusty says sell it cheap to a mate with a buy back clause once the dust has settled.. one word of warning tho.. selling off cheap cheap to the friend could land you in trouble with the solicitors if they do there homework and find the real value out..

Too true about homework. This thread has already left a digital fingerprint of its estimated value in the public domain. Just a case of knowing where to look. Jon

Thanks guys, selling the F2 wouldn't cover it unfortunately. Have been trying the friend route and may have an option there so fingers crossed.

Been thru this too! It's an absolute nightmare
I found a friendly bike shop to value the bike. Based on it being old, not on the road currently so not road legal (no mot) and a limited buyer base he valued my bike for a low figure. Did help he had just been through it too. You might try that? Then may be able to sell the F2 bits off for the value?
Had to get my bikes valued as my ex did not accept the values I guessed at. New values were less than half my estimates!

Sell it to a good friend for a couple of hundred quid as its seized up and now not worth much.. and the tank leaks... Then give him 200 quid in six months time....when he's "fixed" it.

Well I paid 6.5k for one as nice as that so for a quick sale id say 6k anything less would be a sin - or give it to the missus as part of the settlement and we can all independantly value it at 10k !!
