hi lads so ive got leaky fork seals on lc & my n one fork on each is leaky been looking at seals are patterns anygood or is it genuine all the way ? reason i ask is fork seals for the lc are around £30 per side? cheers

Genuine are always nice, but its more about how you do the job and how damaged the chrome is as to whether they will leak again. Have you tried cleaning the seal with a bit of card or a seal cleaning tool?

Agree with above try cleaning with a sealmate first. I bought some copy seals once and they were rubbish. My view is that with the time and effort that you put in to the strip down and rebuild of the forks you really want it to be spot on. Saving £20-30 might feel good but if 3 months later you are repeating the exercise then it's not value for time nor money.

I tried some from 'simply bearings' a while ago (was putting an order in anyway) seem to fit ok, and were relatively cheap, but cant comment on longevity, as only pushed it around the shed
