+1 for the Powerdynamo kit
I fitted one to the yellow project (bike is standard tune) as stator was fried and cdi coil regulator etc were of an unknown as almost 40 yeas old, so wanted to ensure a reliable charging and ignition system so just replaced all with the kit
Yes a tad expensive but I reckon a good piece of kit
Also I think both Dave Norbo and Martin from mad biker stock
Best wishes Al

Hi Colin. When I met you in Wales the other week I had just fitted one to my lc. I got mine from mutts and it’s the complete ignition and charging system. You can set the timing to your own preference-so not fixed. I had to make up a simple tool to hold the flywheel whilst tightening the crank nut. The pd website is full of useful info and definitely worth reading before fitting which is quite straightforward if your handy with a spanner. Compared to how it was running before I fitted it my bike is running really well now and I’m very happy with it. Give me a call if you decide to get one and want pics of the tool or tips on fitting. Steve

Dave fitted and set mine up on his dyno afterwards and its so much better to ride now, makes more power and has taken away all the issues I had with reliability ...plus if your swapping over from OE, you can sell all the Yamaha parts and nigh on recoup the cost of the power dynamo in the first place!
