Heat cycles with run in barrels?

Just put a fresher engine in. Only the bottom end. The barrels with new pistons were run for a 1000mls are used again.
I do a cycle anyway to check if coolant stays in.
My question is. Are heatcycles nescesary with reused pistons and barrels?

No need to heat cycle. Cranks run on roller bearings. If you had fitted new rings then yes a couple of heat cycles would be a good idea.
