Here a bit on again of again relationship with my 1983 31k. First flirt with her was in 1988 when i got my drivin lessons. Including stoppies! My mate bought it 1990 from the instructor and partly restored it. I got her in 1996 and finished it in 1997. My mate bought it back from me. At that time i had more time with the spanners then i rode her. So a new 750gixxer with injection replaced her and a beemer k100rs and k12rs were added. So my mate had fun for a few months with the 31k and dumped her in his damp basement in 1998. I always told him i want her back. This happened in 2017.

Bought my first 4L0 in 1983 to go racing with. Still got that one and it’s stuck with me through thick and thin. Met my wife in 1984....when I’m feeling brave I occasionally remind her of that ! Has either had a full refurb yet? Lol Yes, the second one ! First one has recently been with motoliner to get straitened out but now pondering if going full resto is a good idea whilst I can still ride. Thinking rebuild with best of my tidy original parts I’ve collected across the years and make a tidy rider. Plenty of other stuff to keep me busy in the meantime.

Bought my current 4lo back in March 1984 after my first one which I’d only had for 6 months was stolen. Previously I had only ridden Kawasaki triples (kh250 and two 500’s) and was impressed with the handling and refinement over the triples. Hence buying a 2nd LC. Still have my Norwich union rider policy too.

Had mine since 89, bought it as a rough thing to turn into a racer. I have had in since then in varying degrees of build, other bikes have come and gone. This one will always stay because of the help it gave me during some tough times.

Bought my 350lc Black, x reg.Brand new in 1981. When I was 19, had to get my dad to stand guarantor , paid £1100 from D C Cooks in Small Heath Birmingham.Still have the bill of sale and all relevant paperwork. She’s been stood since 1996 when I blew a crank seal on the way back from the Isle Of Man . Rebuilding her this year hopefully in time for the Classic TT.
