Hi everyone,
A Good run out yesterday went a bit pear shaped, hit a pot hole which sent my speedo haywire(its never been 100% but last few months has been ok). so the needle was really bouncing around then snapped.Speed now stuck at 70 mph position. Firstly Ive heard XT500 needles are a replacement?..if so does Norbo sell them? and Ive been reading through Dusty350's clock refurb posts which are excellent,im unsure how to unstick the speedo or if I can fix whats inside-the other option being a Peter Bond clock refurb at £190 per unit, which aint cheap..also Just to cheer me up in the MOT is due in Early May which I assume with a broken speedo needle is an instant fail? Any ideas?? Thanks in advance 46ob

The needles are the same , but the guy who sold them hasn't had any for a while. If the needle is stuck, I would think there may be some internal damage.

I'd say it's f*cked now I'm afraid
The main head comes loose, catches on the worm drive and destroys the return spring

Thanks for that,i did see those needles but were not sure on size etc as uniparts don't appear to have anything at present. It looks like im going for a re-build on the speedo so will see how that goes.
