Hope you’re better soon Dave . Very brave but that 15 inches was too much for any man to carry around I think you’ll find the ten much more manageable 😬. Speedy recovery mate x

what do you guys search on the internet to find such pictures - the mind just boggles ! anyway, I am back (sort of), week since the OP, been sore, but manageable, looks like a long haul for me, they reckon at least 6 weeks and could be as long as twelve, they found "other stuff" while in there so fixed it or somethng, does make you wonder at times exactly what that means ! Anyway, feeling ok, will take time, so sorting through (in my head mainly) stuff I am going to sell/move on etc, so going to put one of my projects up for sale now as I am having time to think about what I can realistically do in the next few years on my own stuff, which isn't going to be much if I am being honest with myself, so time to offload stuff

Glad things went well, don't overdo it though, stick to Bargain Hunt and Homes Under the Hammer for a while longer before you start lugging your classics around the workshop. Most of these are 40 years old so will wait a few more weeks before you finally sort them!

thanks lads, yeah, under strict instructions and so far so good, just doing paperwork and bits and bobs, nothing strenuous for sure, but got to try and keep things moving slong, least I've had time to have a word with myself and get realistic about how much time I'll really have to complete some of my projects, so selling a few on as I've got 8 projects and 4 bikes not doing anything, so my priority is to get my 4 bikes sorted and on the road and then focus on the projects, but I only want/need 2 or 3 projects, so the rest are going, just put the first one up now in the "For Sale" section, others to follow if interested parties decide they don't want them

Glad it went well Dave I was 6 weeks from op to first night shift back after mine, although they say 18 months to be fully healed. I was just as careful as I could be for a few months afterwards. First week after the op was the worst, but got a lot easier after that. Just "pace" yourself and you'll be back to full steam before you know it Dusty

Glad to hear it all went well
Be selfish and do nothing but for yourself
The 12 weeks will be over before you know it

Thanks guys, yeah I am planning on following orders, thankfully I've not had to take any pain killers or tablets since Sunday, although I am good at managing pain anyway, but I prefer if I am able to feel what my body is telling me, I am hoping to get out and do some walking in the next few days and I have the staples out on Friday, which will be the telling point, other than it probably smarting a bit, I am hoping after that I'll be pretty pain free, then its a case of taking it easy while everything heals and mends itself
I have a mate that might be able to help me out, so thinking of getting him in to do a few jobs while I stand and supervise/run the dyno etc, nothing strenuous, but will move things along a bit and every bit helps, besides earning no money isn't funny and while I can sell stuff, its not quiet the same !

All the best Dave..recovery and rehab can be tediuos. But stick with the program for test results long term . I had to get a shoulder redone due to my own carelessness trying to jump the gun.
