Guys use the Halo unit from a Mini car. You can buy them as a pair of lights, and sell the other one to a mate Dusty

If I remember rightly, you may have problems when it comes to the mot, some one had their bike fail because of it.

thanks for the info everyone....as nice as it looks the m.o.t thing would be a big thing to consider so standard it is then with a Halogen

Will only be a fail if it dips the wrong way surely
You just have to make sure it's a US style flat beam like the original
The euro ones dip to the right but the Jap, UK and even USA dip straight down

Is it possible to get a clear headlight with a normal sidelight fitted instead of that halo thing

Some BMW’s had them as standard fitment didn’t they? Jon

Hi all
If it’s just the halo being used as a side light and not the beam pattern being the mot failure point maybe you can use the halo as a daylight riding light and then use a relay to switch off the halo when side lights are energized as it looks like the eBay units also have a standard side light fitted ?
Best wishes Al

Mine has now passed 4 MOT’S in different mot stations with a halo headlight with no comment made by the testers

Halo side light was fine for the MOT, it was the beam pattern or lack of that failed.

I've had a euro headlight in my hybrid since it was built in 2009
The tester hasn't ever switched it on 🤣
I will change it when I recommission it, honest.
