I’ve got a new decal for the idiot lights on my rg any advice on removing the white original writing without scratching the plastic beyond repair

You could try brasso polish or similar as this will lift the print due to it being a very fine abrasive without scratching the surface

I used 1000 grit wet paper and finished it with 1500. Looks like brand new. As it should

Oh, I put the sandpaper down on a flat surface and did figures of 8 on it with the lights. That kept it perfectly flat and didn’t round off the edges.

Just finished up another set today.. Removed all the glass and cleaned it up and repainted the needles, Its a Gamma thing, The needles fade really badly. Replaced the idiot light decal... The WW set I did a year ago...
