nice!
The carcoon pic looks like its inside a huge telly!
A guy I worked with in the early 90s had one, he used it daily and racked up massive miles in it. We all wished he'd tire of it and sell it to us cheap, he just smiled when we asked. lol I bet he still has it!

My mate had one back in the early 90's and it felt like a missile when I was in it, I'd never been in anything so powerful. My other mate had a Renault GT Turbo and that felt quick as well. Great memories.

My second car when I was 20 was a Ford Fiesta 1300 Super Sport not quick but certainly looked the part was a match for mates 1600cc Capri's. After that bought a Toyota Corolla GT 16v fwd hatch now that was quick little car and the exhaust note was glorious. Both these fetch good money nowadays seen a couple on ebay recently for between £6 and 8k - cannot believe they are worth that money. Nowhere near what your RS would be worth though they are serious money. Love it, nostalgia eh. regards Rich.

Ahh the old R5 Turbo... I went for a test drive in one cos my mate wanted to buy it. The salesman insisted he had to sit in the front 'for insurance', so i bobbed around in the back (no seatbelt laws then lol). At one point he slowed down through the gears (he always did that for some reason) for some traffic and gently tapped the loud pedal in the gear below where he thought me was. For the first time since we started driving the thing hit boost rightaway and we rocketed towards the stopped traffic! The salesman was halfway over the seat into the back when he narrowly missed the car in front. Looking back it was too funny, but we were all a bit shaken at the time. He didnt buy the Renault... Next test drive was a Delta HF Turbo, which started to catch fire under the dash when I switched the ignition on while on the forecourt, smoke billowing everywhere. I stopped test driving cars with him after that, too many warnings from the man upstairs LOL! You'll be unsurprised to learn car prices for oldies have gone mental here too. Cars were always worth more here than the uk, we dont salt our roads and we pay more for them generally as well due to luxury taxes etc. My mate recently got an RX7 Series 2. It had rust everywhere including in the roof it was that bad and hes an expert but it took him a day to get it running. It'd been in a garden for 7 years. Home to nest of bull ants and spores of nasty mould. Same quality projects trade in the $6-7k (circa 3.5k quid) price range. Thats mental, it was basically scrap really.
