So what do we think about Non-genuine cables?? Norbo has some on his site that he lists as "OEM quality", anybody used them? I remember reading something Arrow said about problems setting up oil pumps using non-gen cables hence my question. Also, clutch cables, anybody used Norbo's for this too?
Just seeing what people think before I push the button on my next order......

I've always used genuine, just my preference really
There are some crap cables out there that the oil cable won't adjust correctly as the wrong length
Can't comment on Norbo's as never used them but sure he doesn't sell crap.
Clutch cables are my big gripe. There are at least 3 different types which all have different inner and outer lengths
Cheap pattern cables seem to be a compromise between these and sold to fit all
Pattern ones tend not to have the black Teflon liner over the inner cable which makes the action so much lighter
You can see it clearly on the genuine one
I have recently picked up a fake one sold as genuine with the correct markings on it but no visible Teflon 🤔

Cables are part of the few parts of a bike you have your hands on, even tho its not directly. Having decent cables will give the bike a lighter feeling when riding. I always use OEM on my builds.

Make your own from venhill kit,as good as oem. If you building a special (as I do) why try to adapt something that could never be right. Simply make your own bespoke cables-simple👍
