Morning, first posting here.
Bought a 350LC this week, last RD ownership was a 250LC back in 1985! The bike I bought was originally a UK bike before being restored for a client out in Italy.
As a result, the bike is now fitted with a KPH Speedo and also a euro headlamp. As far as getting the bike through it's mot - what's my options Speedo wise since 2nd hand are like hens teeth from what I can tell.
Noticed the headlamp isn't too bad a problem with UK glass appearing ready available.
Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated.
Cheers

You can just buy a MPH dial face, fit it and your speedo will read in MPH, although the mileage will still be in KPH. I may be wrong on this but i think i'm right.
There are threads on here on how to change the face, I know 'Dusty350' has written one.

You may find as its a UK bike originally, then when it was taken abroad and converted to kph by possibly only changing the face, by changing back to a MPH face, both the speed and mileage will be UK specific.

Ride it for a mile up the road and see what the odometer clocks.

You can change the gearing inside a kmh speedo to make it mph Most though don't, and just change the face as its easier. I suspect changing it back to MPH will be the ticket.

You don't NEED to change the speedo or the headlight to pass the MOT.
They will just make the recorded mileage down in KMs and if you have a real picky MOT tester, he may "mask" it.
The MPH overlays are a great idea, as we all know MPH speedos are now silly money and I don't think you'd get that money back come resale time.

Yep my MOT tester slapped some leccy tape on my headlight.
As for the MPH sticker...it's fine unless you ride at night and then you can't see the speedo. You can get actual MPH dials though, £50 for all 3 (speedo, rev, temp) I think, and much better.

While this is possible, if it were done back in the day doubt it. Easy enough to see if the bezel has been prized off. I don’t think the faces were available back in the past, and spare speedos were available at a low price. Nowadays a different story. Jon
