How do you know you have a 4L1 pump?? What’s written on the pulley doesn’t matter.

A yellow paint mark on the pump split line screw will tell you that you have a 4L0 pump

Also as far as I know the oil pump drive worm is different for a 350 (more corse) so if you can always pull the pump and compare with online images as the 350 worm has less turns due to a more corse thread if no other ID marks are present?

Take the pump and worm drive off, only way to be sure. The 250 pump will deliver less oil than you need.
Arrow on here can tell you what you’ve got.

Hi you can take the oil pump off and leave the side case in place if you have already fitted the side case and filled with oil etc, as the worm drive is fully exposed when you withdraw the pump and then take a couple of photos and post as I am sure arrow will be able to tell you and if it is an old pump you may want to consideri getting it service by arrow as part of your rebuild as it is a critical part. He rebuilt mine and the guy is top notch
Best wishes Al

theres a bit of red paint by the front bottom screw 250 pump .... also can't just fit a 350 pump as the drive needs changing to match the internal worm gear of the pump.

Arrow has dome all my 250/350 pumps, hes a magician that can turn ugly sh1t into what seems like a new pump, and the bonus is it works properly after. Hes also a top bloke too. I wish I could find someone to refurb my 500 pump in the same way he does the smaller bikes.

Just wanted to pop in and say I reached out to Arrow via PM with a stupid newbie question, and he was nothing but kind and thorough with his multiple replies.
Top Bloke who'll be getting my biz when it's time for an oil pump rehab.

Hi My RD350LC 4L0 Oil Pump seems to be feeding the right cylinder fine, but the pipe to the left cylinder has air bubbles in it which is a bit alarming. Can any of you suggest what the problem may be and how to fix it? Previous owner fully rebuilt the engine, new everything, crank, pistons, rings, rebored, seals etc etc and the pump looks new.

Firstly, you have the outlet pipes crossed over. That doesn't really matter, except for diagnostic purposes. The check valves are passing or at least the side one is and the tiny piston seal is shot. The air will show up worse in the side outlet when the piston seal is shot, but only if the check valve(s) are passing. Time for a strip down.
