So what the thoughts on gaskets here, I generally don't mind using decent non Yamaha gaskets unless the original are still available at sensible prices. For the clutch cover I am happy to use a non Yamaha part but whats the feeling here for Base gaskets, I see Norbo as many others do them but who is using them? also, what about the siamese ones I see for sale, are they a better option due to the solid material between the barrels? Fowlers still list them at 22.86 plus vat each Phil

Athena also make good gaskets , use gen head gasket no worries...

Yep 4l04ever can sort a nice quality Siamese base gasket in various thickness
Used to be a Malaysian guy on eBay who did a pair of gen ones posted for £20

A sheet of gasket material of the Suitable thickness (only tricky bit !) and a #11 exacto blade and you too can DIY a Damned good gasket... in minutes

A sheet of gasket material of the Suitable thickness (only tricky bit !) and a #11 exacto blade and you too can DIY a Damned good gasket... in minutes In our old cars . if we got a leak from the thermostat housing , we'd make a gasket up from an old cornflake packet. No goo, no sealant , no nothant and they always worked.
