Sold a car in December and went to put some cash in the bank today. Two 20’s were fake but the bank were ok about it. Loads about apparently so careful when dealing with cash.

Yes lots about in Essex / suffolk currently, £10 notes too.
12 years ago I sold a cavalier gsi to a bloke who offered £200 more than the asking price to hold it for a week. I agreed and he traveled alone from the other end of the country’s via train, paid the money and drove off. When I paid the money in bank it came to light that he had gave me £200 worth of fake 20s. The bank let me keep them and I’m pretty sure I sold them to a workmate, lucky as essentially worth nothing but grief from the law

About 6 years ago I sold my makes motor home for him As he used to keep it at my yard ,
Someone come and had a look and said would you expect cash £28,000 , I called my mate and said they won’t to pay with cash he said money is money ok Few days later that came paid all in £50 notes
Told my mate it’s gone come and pick the money up ,
3 weeks later he came and got the cash from me to take to the bank And there was £10,000 of fake notes The bank took it so he lost out ,
Tried to get hold of the people phone dead and motor home had moved out to a new owner so we could not trace them
