What make of inner tubes should I buy. The tyres on my 250 LC seem to loose air on a weekly basis. I had new tyres fitted but I think they fitted cheap tubes. Any advise would be welcome. Thanks, Dave W

Had some Avon roadriders fitted on mine recently at National Tyres in Barnsley and they only fit Michelin tubes, and they do seem to hold pressure well.

I have a heavy duty Pro Air one on my rear wheel, it's holding air OK. I'm looking at it's twin right now, it's got ISO 9001:2008 printed on it.
It had been a long time since I had a bike with tubes so I just looked on ebay for heavy duty and twin pack.

I assume it is the valve that leaks, rather than the rubber itself, so might be worth changing the valve first for a decent one to see if that improves things.

Good point about the valve, it's worth checking that out but I gather that inner tubes just aren't that great at retaining air pressure period. Going by my own experience, tubeless tyres drop less psi over a longer time span too.

Thanks for all this advise. I have found some michelin tubes on e bay and like the look of them. I think it is the poor rubber that just leaks air and not the valve.

Hi Just a thought but are you sure they fitted tubes? It has been known to fit tubeless tyres without tubes because itβs been assumed itβs correct on cast wheels. Cheers.
