For the last couple of days whilst looking after mum I've heard a bike blatting about. Sounded like a big single cylinder 4 stroke to me. The other day it went by again...and again...and again. So I went outside to the main road. Opposite is a large park with 2 football fields, tennis courts etc. Mums with kids, dogs, kids coming home from school...and 3 12-13 year olds on some pile of trial bike junk hooning over the field, solo, 2 up, 3 up! No lids, bike had no number plate etc. They got so close to a group of 3 school girls that they had to leap out of the way... so I got my phone out and videoed the little morons. Then called 101. Apparently I was not the only caller and this being a posh area (lol) I was informed that they are treating this as an emergency and the police are en route.
Well blow me down they weren't kidding. 4 mins later I see the police car, then the cops (4 in all from 2 directions) and they nab the b*****ds and push them and the bike out of my view. Half an hour later I get a call from PC someone (Luke?) saying they are going to destroy the bike and the parents of the kids have been summoned to the local cop shop...for a no doubt serious bollocking.
RESULT!

I grew up in a small village in Cornwall where there was very little to do. Me and my mate got given a Suzuki GT 185 we were 15. We would ride it to the other villages in the area for something to do. It was kept in the barn from the local farmer we worked for sometimes. That would make me a bit like the lads you described except we were on the main roads (Cornish roads). It all ended when my mates dad drove past and recognized us. He stopped us gave us both a right bollocking on the spot and cut the spark plugleads off and left us. We then pushed the bike for about 3 hours up and down hills to bring it back to my mates house. When we got back it the bike was taken away and scrapped.

I live in a rough part of Bristol (knowle west) , the local chavs on their stolen rmz 450s treat the roads like their private race track , it would appear these little b*****ds are "untouchable" nothing ever appears to ne down to stop them

How about a very thin wire cable stretched across the street between lamp posts - preferably neck height ? That will stop them !!😉

Like in the Great Escape? (and a zillion other films...). Good idea. The police might be a bit anti, after all it is a theological 'grey' area... Alex
