Well i wrote a letter Honda Uk out lining the calls and the time it has taken and that i have posted on a few forums and face book pages and this shop is not fronting the name |Honda very well as main dealer they should be better. Pointed out not getting any calls and that i am happy to print of and send all the bad press they are getting as a dealer and that by the responses im not the only person to have had trouble . and in 11 months they have only ever called me twice and once was 15 mins after i posted my negative feed back on there site . and ever since then nothing.
Any way 2 days later after Honda got my letter i did get a call from them, saying sorry it taken so long and they are working to sort it . I replied with respect its almost a year in 2 weeks and its not good enough . They told me there were trying to get the reg number it had when it was in the uk last its original number but after calling the DVLA yesterday this will not be possible and they need to apply for a new age related place. For this they need a new MOT as the last on has run out .
So i had to make a 40 mile round trip to the shop who is looking after it for me and give them the keys . craigs Honda told the owner they will pay for the mot and any work it needs to get thew it .
When they did it they stated on the mot that no lights or clocks were fitted at the time of mot . This was a lie so i told my friend who has the bike at his shop i want a proper mot lights working as they would any other bike, a bike ready to use fit a new battery and do a proper test . They will have to ring craigs first after they look at it to OK any work and they will pay for the mot .
They then rang me back to say it should take 6 weeks after they get the mot to get the V5
I asked about any tax or duty to be paid as it has been mentioned that duty may have t o be paid they told me as its a classic bike and its in the EU nothing will have to be paid. So we will have to see what happens not no point in calling them for at least a further 6 weeks now to see whats happening .
But It may have been coincidence that the day after Honda would have got my letter they called me 4 times in 1 hour to up date me with talking to my friends shop and what the DVLA had told them and in the last 11 months ive only had to calls .
Any way thats the up date as of last week .
Got a letter yesterday From Honda saying they are sorry about the trouble i was having and that its not exceptionable . They said after ringing the shop they were told that they are now going to sort it . So it was my letter to Honda that made them start calling the DVLA and fined out whats happening and asking for an mot so they can get me the UK reg number. It was the same day they got the call from Honda that they rang me and the same day they rang the DVLA to sort things .
WFT its taken a full year now and only now they ring the DVLA to try and sort it . f**king crap . Honda all so said in there letter that if a dealer persists with a bad reputation and they get a lot of complaints they will remove the franchise for that shop.

It's a shame it's taken a letter to Honda UK to get this sorted, but hopefully now all will be sorted to resolve this. I would imagine that they have been told to sort themselves out or face losing the franchise.

Manufactures don't like this sort of advertising. Franchises have to come up to a standard.. Big H wont like its name being fronted by these wide boys..

Looks like they have eddied out all the negative comments from every one on there feed back page only leaving a couple . But i will keep every one updated on all my other threads so here is an up date i got a call today 15th feb 2019 1 Year to the day to say they have A v5 in the shops name they are sending it off and it will be coming back in my sons name ive lost interest in the bike after all this time so he can have it. The sales man i spoke to said he will talk to the boss about compensation . But if we end up going top court over this i will give regular up dates on the situation and transcript of all letters back and forth . Hopefully it wont come to that but from my experience with them it may be the only way. i dont think its out of order considering the time it has taken to get this far . It took a letter to Honda UK and a call from them to this place to get things moving. I got a let a from Honda asking me to let them know the out come and keep them apprised of the situation if it go;s to court .

Well....................... it is a joke that a dealer of this size is not only not doing their job but is disrespectful !!!!!!!!!! no one should ever be allowed to disrespect another (I have the scars to prove it !),
The sad part is that maybe members are not aware that "Craigs" was started by an ex Colin Appleyard employee and has become quite a large business, not sure how this can happen when they are disrespectful to customers, maybe they will understand a bit of good old fashioned justice "I would go down there and punch his f'n lights out !! The cheeky cvnt !!" copyright kev the rev,
Maybe they should also be informed that they are obviously not that clever as to cite spelling ability as the criteria for assessing intelligence, it is just so wrong, there are a number of reasons why people are not great with spelling all of which means it is largely irrelevant, as my old Spanish language teacher said "it is not so important that everything you say or write is perfectly composed, what does matter is that the person or people you are addressing can understand you" what a prick that employee must be

Oh dear how to continue to shoot yourselves in the foot. Nothing defamatory or libellous I can see just a factual report of the poor service you have received. At this point I would be informing Honda Gb and Japan of how you have and are continuing to be treated by a so called brand ambassador . This shows not only their priorities but also how they provide solutions to complaints, then the fact they are now threatening you. How to commit business suicide in several easy steps.

It's good to know, I've bought a few bikes from various shops and had them delivered, trusting that everything would be ok - and it always has been so far. I'm quite a trusting person, I bought a £20k bike from a shop unseen and it turned up exactly as expected with all the docs. But it appears that you probably shouldn't take that risk with these guys.
I was actually looking at an RC45 they had (or might still have), I've always fancied one, but now I think if I was handing over thirty grand plus then I'd probably make the trip in person and check the docs.

I did loos my rag with them for the first time today and stared to shout a bit told them id come down to the shop and get my receipt if they wont send it to me i was so angry . Its the first time ive lost it with them but they were so indifferent to the 13 months ive had to wate for them calling them only every couple of months nit hassling them not shouting at them just keeping calling with the odd inquiry about were is the V5 and can you send me the receipt . i think i was very good with them and it was only after almost a year that finely snaped and took things public with the story ., Its due to there complete indifference and lack of action that i did this. Now they say because i posted the story they wont offer any comp and they told me to take them to court .
Well I rang Honda Uk this time having had a second letter from them . They on the other hand are very helpful very polite and very understanding and agree thay they expect more from there dealers and they would call them again straight after out chatt and tell them to send me the receipt with the correct date of perchance on it for the full amount paid.

Trading standards would be interested in their failure.. nay... refusal to provide a receipt. Maybe HMRC as well.

Wow, personally I've never bought ANY vehicle unseen, I just couldn't do that even if it were a £500 banger. I've always inspected/test drove them first, make sure that all the paper work is correct/in order then pay/leave with everything that day.

He's just dug his own grave hasn't he? Surely Honda UK ain't going to let him continue 'trading' or whatever he thinks he's doing.

I don't think it's unusual to buy pretty much anything as a distance sale these days. I bought my new car without a test drive, they didn't have a demo vehicle, so I sat in the showroom, specified the colour, trim, extras, etc, then waited to get it delivered.

Oh yeah, I'm sure that many people do that nowadays, it's just not for me, there's just too many things to vehicles that could go wrong in the first place, unlike say a plant pot. In the case of a brand new car being delivered, that's not so bad but there's no way I'd sign up to that without actually driving one, you could end up hating it. These companies already make the first lot of sales/customers guinea pigs, wait until all the bugs/recalls have been sorted, then buy that make/model.

So Craig the dad and owner had a word with his son at the shop after i wrote him a letter . He was un aware of the situation . To cut a long story short, he agreed his son took the piss told me he had a telling of at letting it get this far , and we sorted it out between us. i have to say Craig's years of experience really shod thew he was very understanding and understood his son was in the wrong and agreed with me and totally understood why after 11 months i had to take it public . So its all sorted now thanks to the owner Craig him self
