Just seen a message on my Flikr site. As of 8th January, any free account with more than 1000 pics will not be able to upload any new pics, unless you pay to upgrade to Pro, at £3.39 a month ! So just over £40 a year. I've currently got 1772 photos in my account Looks like I'm gonna have to set up another account and move some pics Dusty

Maybe paying for a service they provide would be an alternative. At least the price is far more reasonable that the one photobucket asked for.

I didn't realise I had so many pics on Flikr Virtually all bike pics too. I guess if you delete them on Flikr you will see them disappear from threads, just like Photomotherf**kers did, so I'm gonna have to do something ! Dusty

Photobucket took the piss, and naturally it came back to bite them on the ass, the proposed charges from flikr, whilst you'd like it to be free, are more like what will be charged going forward on most hosting site's, nothing in life is free for ever and if I had more than the limit, I'd prob pay that (or create another account first)

Yea, I know it's not breaking the bank - just a shame when you put so many pics on a "free" hosting site, and then feel like you are held to ransom when things change. Photof**kers properly shot themselves in the foot with their ridiculous ransom demands - never use them again out of principle I often re post pics on here for guys, so as long as I can still do that from my existing account it will be fine - I just hope I don't have to spend countless hours rebuilding threads with lost pics like I did with Photof**kit Dusty
