Hello there, After a lot of fauled plugs, i want a programmable cdi for my 31k 1983. Programmable ignition timing and ypvs opening. I have an after market coil with 3,5ohm primair. This fires both plugs. My laptop has usb. No rs232. Which one is to choose? I hope you can give me a lead in this.
There is the dccdip for 12v. I see just one output wire for ypvs. While my servo has 5 wires. Suppose this single wire is just a trigger output?
Dccdip1 race for 12v + ac with advanced functions. Only cr250 mounting instructions? 4 wires for servo motor.
Dccdip2 12v tps regulation of advance. When do you use that? In rd350 mounting instruction i found one more wire connection. So 5 to connect ypvs. But this one is capable for 2 separate coils. Can i run this with existing double spark coil? What will bring 2 separate coils. It has Rs232. Is there usb?
Dccdip2 race even more functions. And rs 232

I think this is one of Ignitech's sales problems, they dont list them for each bike and leave the buyer to try and work this stuff out. Zeeltronic makes it easy and hence more people run them, go figure.

Mmm i think you have a point. But this is marketing. I believe in the product. I dont need a separate programmer like the zeel. Which zeel does usb and ypvs? π€π

PCDI-10VT Zeel replaces CDI and power valve unit in one, programmable ignition timing and valve operation. Got one on my hybrid, seems good.

Which zeel does usb and ypvs? π€π Dont get me wrong, Id love to try one on a build, they just make it too hard to work out which one is needed, and that's a huge barrier to sale. I would have had one by now if i would think i could work it out and fit one without having to bend Dave's ear about it all the time cos that feels wrong to me. IMHO Marketing is some thing else entirely, what im saying is that a simple table of what fits what and is recommended would be logical really, and not that hard to do. And business wise if it means people buy one and not a Zeel instead then it would be worth the work, but hey I dont work for them. I sometimes wish i did, that simple list would help sell lots more product[1] I think a lot of the new Zeels do USB dont they? The PCDI 10 and maybe an 11 fit the ypvs. check their site. I have a 4 and a 10V with controllers, before they did usb versions. 1 - Maybe the Iggy boys dont really want to deal with the type of people who cant work out which one of their products we should buy? Thats not me being funny... I mean, perhaps they prefer those with more knowledge about electrics and the like cos they ask less questions therefore using up less time. While I think theyre missing a trick, the reality may be that they dont need the customer hassle or dont have the staff to deal with it. I expect Borut at Zeel gets all manner of silly questions in his email each day from people with no understanding of how his products work. However, even in a second language he manages to answer them (even if the response can feel a but curt at times), so good on him for that, and his business is probably the better for it.

Just call mutts lol I just asked him for an ignitech for my hybrid and he gave me the correct one with a wiring diagram suited to what loom it was going on He even pre programmed it for 31k ign curve and pv settings so will work out the box Simples Steve

Just received info, Jiri from Ingnitech:
There are two solutions how to use our ignition on RD/RZ 350 or RD/RZ 500. You can find connection manuals for both solutions in attachment.
1) Unit DCCDIP (150 EUR). You have to keep original YPVS control unit and replace original ignition to our ignition DCCDIP. We have not original connectors. You have to cut original connectors and to use another connectors delivered with unit.
2) Unit DCCDIP1 race (158 EUR). This unit can control ignition and it also can direct control exhaust valve servomotor. This unit is more sophisticated with extended racing functions. We have not original connectors. You have to cut original connectors and to use another connectors delivered with unit.
