long story short
picked up a 31k lc2 last year and im doing a full restoration starting to put it together and have hit a brick wall with the rear swinging arm and doglegs
the bike came fitted with either an F1 or F2 swinging arm (not sure theres any difference) and a R6 shock fitted im putting back to stock rear shock
it also came with the original 31k lc2 swinger as a spare
I picked up a nice shiny powder coated F1 swinging arm of of bertie mollie with brand new Yamaha swinging arm bearings and dogleg bushes I had the fitted and started to build the backend but the doglegs are rattling about in the new bushes they are actually around 2mm too small inside the new bushes so I thought they maybe the wrong bushes so I ordered some from norbo and they are the same I also got a spare set that came with the bike and they too are the same
but the swinger that was fitted to the bike had a narrower inner diameter bush the the doglegs fitted perfectly
so either ive had 3 sets of bushes that are wrong (unlikely) or these are not the correct doglegs ive looked at pictures of 31k doglegs and they look correct
the first picture shows one of the bushes dropped onto one of the doglegs and how much oversize this is
as an aside ive noticed the ones on NK racing have thin sleeves on the legs
any ideas

Measure the diameter of the doglegs
It is possible someone has had them machined down to take out the wear/pitting and had one off bushes made

Or re-sleeve the ones you have with some machined up steel rod or pipe
Freeze the machined sleeves and hammer them on
Or make bushes that will fit out of a strong plastic

Hi ,maybe buy some that give a higher ride height ( faster steering) if spending money may as well get an improvement . John
