just a thought lads, when tightening the flywheel and the main crank nut on the clutch side, coul you not do both at the same time? they would work against each other no? or do i deserve a hiding for this?

There'd be a good chance of twisting the crank
I'd rather lock each side individually myself

You canโt be sure that the crank wonโt go out of alignment by doing this, And there is clearly no reason for doing this. You can make the tools yourself to hold the flywheel and the primary drive gear.
So itโs a no for me

stick a 2p in the primary gears when tightening the primary drive nuts

Don't be so hard on yourself, we can all have them from time to time. It's great to thrash out ideas etc, this forum is a fountain of knowledge so we can all learn something at some point I'm sure.
