This is my latest project that I has been taking all of my money It has been fitted with a 385 +4mm stroker engine, that came with a project bike. Thank you Fozzy. The engine has 32mm carbs, JL pipes, Power Dynamo and an Ignitech. The engine has been set up by Muttsnuts and is putting out a healthy 74bhp. Tank needs some pin holes sorting as do a lot of Tdr tanks. The box of bits to fit / re furb is nearly empty

Oooh, this will be nice. How easy/hard is it to fit the motor into the chassis ? Fancied a Tdr more and more as my back has stiffened up over the last few years, and would probably find it a better bike to ride comfort wise. Dusty

Just doing a standard(ish) TDR, looks like a small space to fit a 350 lump in, but the idea does appeal...

They handle really well too. I cute section out of the right hand frame loop as it covered the exhaust port. Bent a piece of tubing which Alan ( Hollywoodwelder) welded in. The engine mounts need to be removed and get the. Engine as far back as possible. Obviously with new mounts. Or use an Lc or Ypvs frame loop

Ta. I'll bear it in mind, for the next project.
I rode this one for a few weeks before stripping it, comfy but you need to give it some beans compared to the 350 YPVS motor.

I think they ride really well. After all it is a Tzr 250 engine, done a few Teackdays on Tdr’s. They hold there own. However compared to a 350 motor, I see your point.

Love it! Pipes look amazing and the spoke wheels. Thank you Mark 👍 Jim Lomas makes pipes specifically for this conversion. However the headers clashed, each pipe would fit individually but not together. The pipes had to be cut and shut by Alan ( Hollywoodwelder) who also modded the frame and mounted the engine 👍. The pipes are visually bigger.

Is the engine offset to the right slightly?

Is the engine offset to the right slightly? Smack bang in the middle Rob. The original right loop curves inward to allow clearance for the radiator hose on the 1kt engine. Which covers the exhaust port on the 31k motor.
