There were some made a few years ago, I bought a set, as they are usually missing it seems. Dropped one on the floor and it shattered immediately, so couldn't say what they were made from (no not glass). treat with kid gloves if you find them, 3D print must be an easy option for these.

3d prints could be either good or shite (I have a 3d gizmo) Typically the prints are of rough texture /finish. Although in ABS they can be smoothed out with acetone..the stuff melts the surface into a smooth finish.. mostly. A commercial place like Shapeways can do a much higher print quality than any home printer.

fzr1000 forks use the same ones, I bought a set of forks just for the anti-dive units once, still got the forks here, reminds me I need to get rid of them, in lovely condition as well !

Only the 47X pre-production bikes used the FJ/FZ anti dive units, here is a nos set i used on my 47X pre-production bike. Production bikes anti dives were unique to the rd/rz/rzv500 The caps which were made years a go were copies of the smaller FJ/FZ anti dive cap.

Had a 3D test print done. Looks like Yamaha may have moulded the plastic around the bolt head to keep it captive. 3D print one will likely have to have a cap on the bottom. Interference fit for bolt and use adhesive to make sure it stays put and for the the press in cap. More when I have it to hand

Oh man, the eBay item was gone fast. I would also be interested in the 3D printed ones!
Cheers,

Getting there. Test item. But ID needs to be larger to go over clear plastic sleeve. He's on with another as I type. Interference fit for bolt and use adhesive to make sure it stays put and for the the press in cap.
