Hi all, are lc rev counter drives the same as 31k ypvs ones ? I have a 31 k ypvs motor putting it in a lc frame and want to use the lc clocks , my motor has the rev counter drive blocked off ? Anybody know?

Ypvs engines with a tacho drive work with Lc clocks, no problem. You can fit either Lc or Pv drive to your engine if it is without one. It's only the Brazillian 4ce engine that you cant physically fit a drive into. Dusty

Anybody know? Yes, they’re the same, if your cases are blocked off with a rubber / plastic bung you need to get the tacho drive shaft assembly complete, you can only install the parts with the crank cases split though. Dusty’s engine build thread shows it in detail 👍🤘

Not exactly the same.. LC vs Valvie. LC cases feature bronze bushed holes for the gear bits, while later Valvie cases do not, but the drive parts Are interchangeable
